As of May 2, 2015, we will dance in a new location: Aldersgate
Methodist Church, on the East Bypass (2201 Earl Rudder Fwy, CS).
Access from the East frontage road (traveling "North"), between
Southwest Parkway and Harvey Road (TX Hwy 30). See map at bottom
of page ( ..AUMC <<<<<<<<). We'll update the text directions soon.
Directions and Map (to UUC in College Station, Texas (our "old" location):
From Austin: Take Hwy 290 east, then Hwy 21 (going northeast) through
Caldwell toward Bryan. Past the Brazos river a few miles, take the Hwy
47 exit, to the right, toward College Station. In 7 miles, Hwy 47 ends,
underpassing Hwy 60. Go left onto 60 (aka Raymond Stotzer Pkwy). In a
mile, exit right onto FM 2818 (aka Harvey Mitchell Pkwy). At the first
traffic light on FM 2818, turn left onto George Bush Dr (FM 2347). In
about a mile and just after crossing railroad tracks, turn right onto
Wellborn (FM 2154) and immediately move into the left lane. In half a
block, turn left into the Unitarian Fellowship parking area which is
just before the small office building with the mural (pillars and
woodland/meadow/water) on its wall.
From Dallas: Approach Bryan from the north on Hwy 6. Just north of
Bryan and before Hwy 6 splits into Bypass and Business, watch for the
George Bush Library sign and follow its directions (i.e., exit right
onto FM 2818). After 13-14 miles, again watch for the Library sign and
follow its directions (i.e., turn left onto George Bush Dr (FM 2347)).
Ignore the Library entrance and continue on George Bush. Just after the
railroad track, turn right onto Wellborn Rd and immediately move into
the left lane. About 1/2 a block down, turn left into the Unitarian
Fellowship parking area.
From Houston: Approach College Station from the south on Hwy 6. On the
outskirts of the city, when Hwy 6 splits into Bypass and Business,
follow Business 6 (aka Texas Ave S). At the second traffic light (the
Walmart, Schlotzsky's, UHaul corner), turn left onto FM 2818 (aka Harvey
Mitchell Pkwy). Travel about 3 miles and just before the railroad track,
turn right onto Wellborn Rd. After about 1.5 miles, watch on the right
side for the Unitarian Fellowship sign and parking area. If you get to
George Bush drive, you have come about half a block too far North.
From Huntsville: Approach College Station on Hwy 30. Continue into
town on Hwy 30 (aka Harvey Rd). At the end of the road, turn right onto
Texas Ave S. At the first traffic light, turn left onto George Bush Dr.
After 1-1.5 miles and just before the railroad track, turn left onto
Wellborn Rd staying in the left lane. About 1/2 a block down, turn left
into the Unitarian Fellowship parking area.
